Students with talent in art, creative writing, dance, music, or theater are encouraged to apply.

Award amounts vary.

Green and Gold Scholarship

Colorado resident entering freshmen who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement.

Other factors considered include leadership, extracurricular activities, service to school or community, and special talents.

$2,000 annual award, renewable for 6 additional semesters provided requirements are met.

To be considered for this scholarship, each student must apply for admission by the priority filing date of February 1 and meet all eligibility criteria by March 1.

Boettcher Scholarship recipients, National Merit Finalists who list CSU as their first choice institution with National Merit, National Hispanic Scholars, and National Achievement Scholars will automatically receive the Green and Gold Scholarship.

Honors Scholarship

Entering freshmen who are admitted to and participate in the Honors Program.

Residents: $1,000 annual award
Non-Residents: $2,000 annual award

Renewable for 6 additional semesters provided requirements are met.

First Generation Award

Colorado resident entering freshmen or undergraduate transfer students who demonstrate financial need, are admitted by March 1, with a minimum 3.0 high school or transfer GPA. Student's parents must not have received a bachelor's degree.

$4,000 annual award, renewable for 6 additional semesters provided requirements are met.

Recipients prior to 2006-2007 receive the amount specified in their original award criteria.

1. Complete and submit the

First Generation Award Application

(available in January) to Student Financial Services by March 3
(a separate paper application - not the CSUSA).

2. Submit your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) no later than March 1.

Monfort Scholarship

Resident entering freshmen admitted by March 1. Must rank in the upper 5% of graduating class or #1 or #2 in a class of fewer than 40 students, SAT score of at least 1300 or ACT of 30, evidence of leadership, service to community and school, and outstanding character.

Tuition and fees, room and board stipend, and a book allowance. Covers student's share of tuition and fees. Renewable for 6 additional semesters provided requirements are met.

Complete the Colorado State University Scholarship Application (CSUSA). The CSUSA is available online at RAMweb beginning December 1. The deadline is March 1 at 11 p.m. (MST). Go to RAMweb at ramweb.colostate.edu and login using your eID. Then select the CSU Scholarship Application link. Complete the Monfort Scholarship section of the CSUSA.

The Monfort Scholarship requires letters of recommendation. These must be postmarked by March 1. For further information, visit the CSUSA as soon as possible after December 1.

Presidential Scholarship

Provost's Scholarship

Non-resident entering freshmen who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement.

Other factors considered include leadership, extracurricular activities, service to school or community, and special talents.

Depending on level of academic achievement:

Presidential
Non-residents: $6000 annual award

Provost's
Non-residents: $4000 annual award

Renewable for 6 additional semesters provided requirements are met.

To be considered for this scholarship, each student must apply for admission by the priority filing date of February 1 and meet all eligibility criteria by March 1.

National Merit Finalists who list CSU as their first choice institution with National Merit, National Hispanic Scholars, and National Achievement Scholars will automatically receive the Presidential Scholarship.

Students may not receive both the Presidential and the Provost's Scholarships. Students admitted to the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) Program are not eligible for the Presidential or Provost's Scholarships.

Student Financial Services Scholarships

A variety of scholarships are available based on financial need, academic merit, and other qualifications.

Go to RAMweb at ramweb.colostate.edu and login using your eID. Then select the CSU Scholarship Application link. Complete the Student Financial Services section of the CSUSA.

2. Submit your FAFSA no later than March 1.
