Refunds

- Refund Methods

  • Get your Student Account Refunds faster by signing up for Ram Refund Direct Deposit on RAMweb. All you need is your bank account information.
  •  Ram Refund Direct Deposit has its advantages….
  • Convenience…no waiting on the mail or in line to cash or deposit your check
  • Quick access…the funds are generally available within three business days after the date of the refund
  • Security…prevents check loss or theft.
  •  Mailed Refund Checks
  • Student Account Refund checks are mailed on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Friday of each month.  Allow an additional three mail days for delivery.
  • Refund checks will be mailed to the current mailing address on file with the University. Students are responsible for keeping the University informed of current mailing addresses. Be sure that we have your most current local mailing address to ensure timely receipt of your University student account statement and other important University correspondence. Make an address change.


- Financial Aid Refunds


  • Financial aid in the form of grants, loans, and scholarships are credited directly to your University student account and applied toward your total University expenses. If your financial aid exceeds the total amount billed to your account, the residual aid will be refunded to you for other educational expenses.

- Refund Credit Requirements


  • Refunds will be processed automatically for students registered in at least nine credits.
  • Financial aid recipients who are registered part-time or taking a combination of regular on-campus and Division of Continuing Education credits

- Minimum Refund Amounts


  • Mailed Checks
  • If your refund method is check, and you are due a refund, the amount will be calculated on the total financial aid credits and University charges posted to your University student account. Only refunds greater than $50 will automatically be processed. If your refund amount is less than $50, you must call Student Financial Services to request a refund.

  • Direct Deposit
  • If your refund method is direct deposit, and you are due a refund, the amount will be calculated on the total financial aid credits and University charges posted to your University student account. Only refunds greater than $5 will automatically be processed. If your refund amount is less than $5, you must call Student Financial Services to request a refund.

- Study Abroad and Refunds


  • Students participating in study abroad programs must be enrolled in SA482 for the term(s) they will be studying abroad.  Students are required to complete the CSU Study Abroad/Financial Aid Certification Statement prior to their departure.  Refunds will be deposited directly into the personal bank account identified on the student's RAMweb.  If a student does not identify a personal bank account for direct deposit, refunds will be delayed (by about two weeks) and will be mailed to the student's current mailing address identified on RAMweb. Financial aid is disbursed to study abroad students only if enrolled in SA482.  Contact the Study Abroad Office (970) 491-5917 for more information.

  • Monday-Wednesday, and Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., and Thursdays 9:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.,

  • Summer Hours: Monday-Wednesday, and Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Thursdays 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or;

  • Call Student Financial Services at (970) 491-6321

  • Visit RAMweb to view your current mailing address as of the previous business day. You will need your eID and ePassword.
