To be considered for need-based scholarships through the CSUSA, your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) must be submitted no later than March 1.
Boettcher Opportunity Award
Funded by the Boettcher Foundation, the scholarship was established to benefit under-represented groups on campus. Recipients will meet the following criteria:
- Residents of the State of Colorado and U.S. citizens or permanent residents
- First generation college students (neither parent has received a bachelor's degree)
- Sophomores, juniors, or seniors without a first bachelor's degree
- Enrolled full-time in any major with a cumulative 3.0 Colorado State University GPA
- Taking courses generally accepted as "academic" and making progress towards their degree
The $3,000 annual award is renewable provided students maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA and provide an annual report to the Boettcher Foundation detailing their academic year experience. Typically, five $3,000 scholarships are awarded or renewed.
Dr. Robert D. and Pearlee Payne Buchanan Scholarship
The scholarship criteria are:
- Full-time freshman/sophomore enrolled in an undergraduate degree program, any major
- Good academic standing with a 3.0 minimum cumulative GPA
- Financial need as determined by Student Financial Services
One $1000 scholarship awarded for 2008-2009.
Child of a Faculty/Admin Professional Staff Member Scholarship
The scholarship criteria are:
- Full-time CSU sophomore, junior, or senior (completed 30 undergraduate hours)
- Child of a current CSU faculty/admin professional staff member
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Complete the CSU Scholarship Application, answering "Yes" to the question in the Common Section, "Are you a child of a current CSU faculty/administrative professional staff member?" and providing full name of staff member. Student must also complete the "Goals" essay question on the CSU Scholarship Application.
One $500 scholarship awarded for 2009-2010.
Child of a State Classified Staff Member Scholarship
- Full-time CSU sophomore, junior, or senior (completed 30 undergraduate hours)
- Child of a current CSU state classified staff member
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA

Class of 1956 Scholarship
Funded by the alumni of the Class of 1956, this scholarship benefits full-time freshmen in any major, and is based on scholastic achievement, financial need, demonstrated leadership ability, participation in extracurricular activities, and promise of success. One $400 scholarship awarded for 2009-2010.
Class of 1968 Alumni Scholarship
Funded by the alumni of the Class of 1968, this scholarship benefits full-time freshmen or sophomore undergraduates in any major. Students must be in good academic standing and demonstrate financial need. One $950 scholarship awarded for 2009-2010.
Class of 1969 Alumni Scholarship
The scholarship was established by Class of 1969 alumni. Students must be incoming freshmen or sophomores enrolled full-time in any undergraduate degree program with good academic standing and financial need. One $650 scholarship awarded for 2009-2010.
Class of 1970 Alumni Scholarship
Funded by Class of 1970 alumni, this scholarship is awarded to freshmen or sophomore undergraduates in any major. Students must be in good academic standing and demonstrate financial need. One $670 scholarship awarded for 2009-2010.
Colorado Power Council Scholarship
The Colorado Power Council (CPC) was founded in 1954 to enhance the full development and proper use of electrical energy. Its membership came from all aspects of the electric power industry: utilities (investor-owned, municipals, and rural electric associations), manufacturers and distributors of electric products, and other interrelated companies. The fund was established prior to the CPC merger with the Rocky Mountain Electric League in 1999. The scholarship is awarded to Colorado residents who are incoming freshmen enrolled in any degree program in Agricultural Sciences, Business, Engineering, Natural Resources, or Natural Sciences. The scholarship is renewable if specific renewal criteria are met and is typically $1,000. Two $1200 scholarships awarded or renewed for 2009-2010.
CSU Alumni First Generation Scholarship
This is not the First Generation Award which requires a separate application available in January. Funded by alumni of Colorado State University, this scholarship benefits full-time, resident undergraduates whose biological or adoptive parents have not received a bachelor's degree, and who demonstrate financial need. This scholarship is not renewable. Three $1870 scholarships awarded for 2009-2010.
Colorado State University Women's Association Scholarships
Ardith Briggs Kerst Scholarship
The Ardith Briggs Kerst Scholarship provides one $1,500 award ($750 each semester). A qualified applicant must be an undergraduate or graduate student who has attended a minimum of one year at Colorado State University, demonstrates a financial need, and has a 2.75 GPA. Additional consideration will be given to hardship cases.
CSU Women’s Association Scholarship
The CSU Women’s Association Scholarship provides six $2,500 scholarships ($1,250 each semester). A qualified applicant must be a Colorado State University undergraduate (sophomore, junior, senior) or graduate student, demonstrate financial need, and have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
Lilla B. Morgan Memorial Scholarship
The Lilla B. Morgan Memorial Scholarship provides one $1,900 award ($950 each semester). A qualified applicant must be a full-time (at least 12 credit hours) student during the year of use who has attended a minimum of one academic year at Colorado State University. Demonstrated academic scholarship (3.0 or better GPA), campus-community service, and financial need are all considered in the award selection. This scholarship is limited to undergraduate students.
Maybelle (Mic) Frantz Memorial Scholarship
The Mic Frantz Memorial Scholarship provides two $2,000 awards ($1000 each semester). A qualified applicant must be enrolled a minimum of one year at Colorado State University, be an undergraduate or graduate student in good academic standing, demonstrate financial need and/or academic potential, be involved in community and/or civic activities, and be involved in activities and/or experiences that demonstrate an understanding of or appreciation for people from all cultures and backgrounds. Other factors are an interest in study abroad and/or being a cancer survivor/family member.
Nancy M. Yeager Memorial Scholarship
(Through the Community Foundation Serving Northern Colorado)
The Nancy M. Yeager Memorial Scholarship provides one $1,500 award ($750 each semester). A qualified applicant must be an undergraduate or graduate student enrolled a minimum of one semester at Colorado State University, have a minimum 2.75 GPA, and demonstrate financial need. Non-traditional students and hardship cases will be given additional consideration.
Patricia Lovelock Grant Memorial Scholarship
The Patricia Lovelock Grant Memorial Scholarship provides one $745 award ($372.50 each semester) to a Colorado State University undergraduate enrolled for a minimum of one year who demonstrates financial need as established by the Office of Student Financial Services, maintains an overall 3.0 GPA and demonstrates participation in Community and/or civic activities.
P.E.O. Chapter AL Scholarship
The P.E.O. Chapter AL Scholarship provides one $1,500 award ($750 each semester). A qualified woman applicant must be an undergraduate or graduate student enrolled for a minimum of one year at Colorado State University, demonstrate academic promise with a minimum GPA of 3.0, and be involved in campus and/or community service. Financial need and hardship situations are considered in the selection, but are not essential for the award.
Ralph Francis and Fern Howard Briggs Scholarship
The Ralph Francis and Fern Howard Briggs Scholarship provides one $1,500 award ($750 each semester). A qualified applicant must be an undergraduate or graduate student who has attended a minimum of one year at Colorado State University, demonstrates financial need, has a 2.75 GPA, and is a Colorado resident. Additional consideration will be given to hardship cases.
Romerta F. Cook Memorial Scholarship
The Romerta Cook Memorial Scholarship provides one $2,000 award ($1,000 each semester). A qualified applicant must be an undergraduate or graduate student at Colorado State University, who can demonstrate financial need and scholarly ability. Additional consideration will be given to nontraditional students, defined for this purpose as those who are not typical college age and in a hardship situation (such as being a single parent, maintaining an excessive work and/or credit load, or other exceptional factors).
Ruth C. Moyer Scholarship
The Ruth C. Moyer Scholarship provides one $1,000 award ($500 each semester). A qualified applicant is a high school senior who will be a first year undergraduate student at Colorado State University, Colorado resident, has a minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA in high school, and demonstrates financial need. Additional consideration is given to applicants with a rural/farming background.
Shirley Knox Memorial Scholarship
The Shirley Knox Memorial Scholarship provides one $1,000 award ($500 each semester). A qualified applicant must be an undergraduate or graduate student enrolled a minimum of one year at Colorado State University, demonstrate evidence of financial need and/or academic potential, have a 3.0 GPA, and show evidence of participating in community and/or civic activities.
Stella Morris Payne Scholarship (Through the Community Foundation Serving Northern Colorado)
The Stella Morris Payne Scholarship provides one $1,000 award ($500 each semester) to a Colorado State University undergraduate or graduate student who demonstrates academic promise and who is in a hardship situation (such as being a single parent or maintaining an excessive work/credit load).
Gerald A. and Martine V. Conway Scholarship
The scholarship criteria are:
- Full-time freshman in an undergraduate program
- First generation student, first in his/her family to attend college
- Show leadership and potential for academic success
- Financial need
The scholarship may be considered renewable in the sophomore, junior and senior years if the recipient re-applies and continues to fulfill the criteria.
One $1000 fall only renewed and one $2000 scholarship awarded for 2009-2010.
The Durand Family Scholarship
The scholarship was established by James R. and Emily K. Durand, originally from Michigan. Their three children are graduates of Colorado institutions of higher education and have successful careers. The Durand's wish is to assist other deserving young people to develop their minds and talents in becoming responsible adults and citizens. The scholarship is for full-time undergraduate students in any class and any major. Recipients must demonstrate financial need and have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. One $1650 scholarship awarded for 2009-2010.
Elbert County Alumni Scholarship
The scholarship was established by the Elbert County Alumni Chapter. Its purpose is to assist Colorado State University students in any class level and any major who graduated from an Elbert County high school or were home schooled in Elbert County. Recipients must demonstrate financial need. One $500 scholarship awarded for 2008-2009.
Flack Family Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Margaret Lorene Flack in memory of the Flack Family of Agate, Colorado, to be used for the children of Elbert County, Colorado. The scholarship is for Colorado State University students who are from Elbert County, Colorado, and who are enrolled in any class and any major. Recipients must be in good academic standing and demonstrate financial need. Nineteen $2000 scholarships awarded for 2009-2010. The scholarship is not automatically renewable.
Fountaine Family Scholarship
The purpose of the Fund is to provide academic scholarships for students enrolled at Colorado State University. The scholarship is not to be awarded as an athletic scholarship; however student athletes are not precluded from receiving the scholarship. The recipient(s) of the scholarship shall be a full time undergraduate student enrolled at Colorado State University; demonstrate financial need as established by Student Financial Services of Colorado State University; and maintain an overall 3.0 GPA. One $1200 scholarship awarded for 2009-2010.
Carl and Harriet Gilman Memorial Scholarship
The scholarship was established in honor of Carl and Harriet Gilman from a gift of land Mr. Gilman's paternal grandmother originally homesteaded in Colorado. Both Carl and Harriet were born and raised in Colorado, but lived the majority of their adult, married life in California. The scholarship is awarded where the need is greatest. Five $1350 scholarships awarded for 2009-2010.
Richard W. Griffith Scholarship
The scholarship criteria are:
- Any undergraduate class, any major
- Outstanding academic performance
- Demonstrated leadership skills and potential
- Financial need may be a consideration, but not the determining criterion

William and Mary Hathaway Scholarship in Honor of Harlan Horst
The scholarship criteria are:
- Full-time undergraduate
- First generation student
- Maintain a 3.5 GPA
- Financial need may be a consideration, but not the sole criterion

Havighorst/President's Emergency Fund Scholarship
The scholarship fund was established by a gift from Colonel and Mrs. Russel K. Havighorst. Colonel Havighorst was a 1914 graduate and wanted to help "students up over the last ten feet of the cliff." The scholarship is for juniors, seniors and graduate students in good standing, carrying a full academic load, and demonstrating financial need. Six $1000 scholarships awarded for 2009-2010.
Marion Carnes Hendrie Scholarship
The scholarship was established by Edwin B. Hendrie of Denver in memory of his wife. Its purpose is to assist worthy and needy students. Recipients shall aspire to make the most of themselves, have the ambition to get an education and the industry to work for it, and the thrift to wisely spend their limited income. Mr. Hendrie hoped the scholarship would bring cheer and courage to the recipient, assisting them to live a life of usefulness, helpfulness, and kindness to others, such as characterized the life of his wife. One $200 scholarship awarded for 2009-2010.
Virginia W. Hill Scholarship
The Virginia W. Hill Foundation pledged its support to Colorado State University. Three $5,000 scholarships are awarded to students who meet the following criteria:
- Financial need
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- First generation college student (neither parent has received a bachelor's degree)
- Undergraduate or graduate level
Howard Scholarship
The scholarship was established by the late Virgil Guy Howard of Boulder to assist worthy young people in obtaining their education. Students must be in good academic standing and demonstrate financial need. One $1900 scholarship awarded for 2009-2010.
Evelyn Jones Alumni Scholarship
The scholarship fund was established in honor of Evelyn Jones. It is awarded to freshmen who are sons or daughters of Colorado State University alumni and is based on their academic achievement, financial need, leadership ability, personality, character, and promise of success. One $1700 scholarship awarded for 2009-2010.
Harold B. and Sylvia F. Joy Scholarship
The scholarship fund was established by Sylvia F. Joy in memory of her late husband, Harold B. Joy. Harold B. Joy was a 1917 graduate of Colorado State University who had a distinguished architectural and construction career. It was his desire to give something back to the University in return for the fine education he received. The purpose of the scholarship is to assist a Colorado State University undergraduate student who is in good academic standing and demonstrates financial need.
Twenty-six (26) $1000 scholarships awarded for 2009-2010.
Monica Joyce Memorial Scholarship
The purpose is to provide scholarships in memory of Monica Joyce to a senior who is graduating from a public high school in Fort Collins. The scholarship criteria are:
- Be a graduating senior from a Fort Collins high school with primary consideration given to graduating seniors from Fort Collins High School;
- Be a Colorado resident;
- Be an incoming freshman to Colorado State University;
- Be interested in any major;
- Be an exceptional student who has demonstrated the ability to succeed academically; to focus and achieve personal goals; to appreciate all areas of study; and be open to exploring various disciplines and interests, e.g., French, poetry, the performing or visual arts, etc.;
- Demonstration of financial need is not required.
One $500 scholarship awarded for 2009-2010.
Julia Klug Scholarship
The scholarship fund was established by the late Mrs. Julia Klug. Mrs. Klug was a lifelong resident of Denver, Colorado. She was an active volunteer in a variety of civic and fraternal organizations. While not having the opportunity for either herself or her husband to receive an advanced degree, she wished to enable others to achieve their higher education goals. The purpose of the scholarship is to assist Colorado State University graduate or undergraduate students who are in good academic standing, demonstrate academic leadership and/or involvement in volunteer civic activities, and demonstrate grade improvement in high school or college. Eight $1050 scholarships awarded for 2009-2010.
Paul E. Lilyblade Memorial Scholarship
The purpose of the fund is to provide scholarship assistance in memory of Paul E. Lilyblade for students who are graduates of Poudre High School in Fort Collins, Colorado and who are enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at Colorado State University. Additionally, the recipient shall be an incoming freshman enrolled full-time. They may be in any major, must be in good academic standing, and demonstrate financial need. College education was extremely important to Paul and Colorado State University became a true love. He helped and inspired his sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, a nephew, and granddaughters to further their education. Paul was a vice president of Sterling Companies. One $1000 scholarship awarded for 2009-2010.
Myron Brown Ludlow Scholarship
The Myron Brown Ludlow Memorial Scholarship was established in 1974 by the Estate of Olive B. Ludlow. The scholarship criteria are:
- Full-time male sophomore, junior, or senior student
- Based on financial need and academic achievement
- Must have attended CSU one full academic year prior to receiving this scholarship
- Not automatically renewed
Each academic college awards one $7450 scholarship in 2009-2010.
Dorothy and Roy Malone Scholarship
The scholarship was funded by the trust of long-time southern Colorado residents, Dorothy and Roy Malone. The Malones grew up in the Pueblo area and moved to Colorado Springs in 1957, where they lived until their deaths. Through the scholarship endowment, the couple wished to give back to the community some of the benefits they had received from it. The purpose of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to graduates from any Pueblo County high school who plan to attend Colorado State University. Criteria include graduation from any high school in Pueblo County in the upper one-third of the class, participation in extracurricular activities, and financial need. Seven $1500 scholarships awarded for 2009-2010.
Bill Manning Memorial Scholarship
The scholarship was established by the Sons of the American Legion George Beach Post #4 to fulfill Bill Manning's desire to help American Legion members' sons and daughters further their education. Bill was a member of the American Legion Post #4, located in LaPorte, Colorado, for over 30 years. One $430 scholarship awarded for 2009-2010.
Henry and Florence McCluskey Scholarship
The scholarship was established by the estate of Florence McCluskey to benefit deserving students at Colorado State University. The scholarship criteria are:
- Be a high school graduate of Bennett, Byers, Strasburg, Agate, Deer Trail or Limon, Colorado school districts;
- Demonstrate financial need; and
- Have a GPA of 3.0.
Six $8700 scholarships renewed for 2009-2010. Scholarships shall be renewable provided the recipient maintains a 3.0 GPA at Colorado State University and meets other renewal criteria.
McPherson Undergraduate Scholarship
The McPherson Undergraduate Scholarship provides financial assistance to San Luis Valley high school graduates who plan to attend Colorado State University. Funds for the scholarship were bequeathed to Colorado State University upon the death of Alamosa resident, Edith McPherson.
Twenty-four (24) $1,000 scholarships renewed for 2009-2010. This scholarship is renewable if specific renewal criteria are met.
Robinson A. McWayne Memorial Scholarship
The scholarship fund was established in memory of Robinson A. McWayne. Its purpose is to assist worthy and needy students from the state of Hawaii to obtain an education, either undergraduate or graduate.
Five $1380 scholarships awarded for 2009-2010.
Frank E. Miller and Anna May Miller Memorial Scholarship
The scholarship was established by Anna May Miller of Fort Collins, Colorado. Its purpose is to assist worthy and needy Colorado residents in the third or fourth year of undergraduate study at Colorado State University.
Four $1100 scholarships awarded for 2009-2010.
Niles and Dorothy Miller Scholarship
The Niles and Dorothy Miller Scholarship was established by friends and family of Niles and Dorothy Miller to provide scholarship assistance to graduates of Valley High School in Gilcrest, Colorado who attend Colorado State University, with preference given to students enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences. Niles and Dorothy Miller have had an extensive and rich history in the agricultural community of Platteville, Colorado. The Millers farmed on the family homestead south of Platteville for over 50 years. Giving back to the community was a cornerstone of Dorothy's life. A scholarship that assists youth in their pursuit of agricultural based education is the perfect way to celebrate Dorothy's life. The recipient(s) of the scholarship shall:
- Be enrolled in any major, with preference given to students enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences;
- Be enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student;
- Demonstrate financial need as established by Student Financial Services of Colorado State University;
- Maintain an overall 2.7 GPA; and
- Be a graduate of Valley High School in Gilcrest, Colorado, or Johnstown High School, or any other Weld County high school.
Five $1640 scholarships awarded for 2009-2010.
Beau Mitchell Memorial Scholarship
The scholarship was established in memory of Beau Mitchell by his parents and family. It is intended to provide financial assistance and encouragement to Colorado State students who exhibit qualities and values similar to those of Beau Mitchell. The scholarship is available to Colorado State University students in any field of study and any year of study. It is open to students from any state, with a preference for out-of-state students. Good academic standing is required, but academic excellence is not necessarily a factor. Candidates for this scholarship should be of strong moral character and show a marked concern for others. They should be strongly oriented to outdoor life, and there is a preference for individuals who are former members of the Boy Scouts of America. Two $1250 scholarships awarded for 2009-2010.
E. I. Pashby and Minnie Pashby Memorial Scholarship
The scholarship was established by Ruby Almena Pashby to provide assistance for students who are pursuing graduate studies at Colorado State University. Scholarships are to be granted on the basis of need and ability. Two $1000 scholarships awarded for 2009-2010.
Freda T. Roof Memorial Scholarship
The scholarship was established by Freda T. Roof of Denver, Colorado. Its purpose is to assist worthy and needy students. Two $1000 scholarships awarded for 2009-2010.
Robert, Margaret, and Garry Saylor Scholarship
Robert and Margaret Saylor established this scholarship in memory of Garry Saylor, Robert's son. Garry Saylor graduated from Holyoke High School in 1954 and enrolled in Colorado A&M in the fall. Garry was an outstanding student. He was a member of Lancers, Kappa Kappa Psi, and Symphonic Band. He was Marching Band drum major, Sigma Phi Epsilon campus relations chairman, Major Activities chairman, and ROTC band drum major. Garry graduated in 1958 with a B.S. in Agricultural Soil Conservation. He returned to Colorado State from 1959-1960 to obtain his master's degree. The scholarship is intended to provide financial assistance toward the cost of resident tuition and fees for students who are graduates of Holyoke High School and are enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at Colorado State University. The recipient shall be an incoming freshman enrolled full-time. They may be in any major, must be in good academic standing, and demonstrate financial need. Two $2400 scholarships awarded for 2009-2010.
Delano F. Scott Scholarship
The Delano F. Scott Scholarship was established from the Estate of Delano Fulton Scott, who died in 1971.
The scholarship criteria are:
- Full-time male sophomore, junior, or senior student
- Based on need and demonstrated academic ability
- Not automatically renewed
Each academic college awards up to $3300, divided among their selected recipients, for 2009-2010.
Sarah I. Stuart Scholarship
The scholarship was established by Sarah I. Stuart of Loveland, Colorado. Its purpose is to assist Colorado State University students of any class level and any major, with a minimum GPA of 2.0, who demonstrate financial need and promise in his or her chosen field. One $850 scholarship awarded for 2009-2010.
Student Success Scholarships
The scholarship criteria are:
- Full time graduate or undergraduate students
- Any major, any college
- Overall 3.0 GPA
- Financial need
- Preference given to students engaged in leadership and civic service activities
Eight $1000 scholarships awarded for 2009-2010.
Students First Scholarship
The scholarship criteria are:
- Enrolled full-time in an undergraduate degree program, any class and any major
- Good academic standing
- Financial need as established by Student Financial Services
- Active participant in campus and/or community service organizations
The eight academic colleges, the Center for Advising and Student Achievement (CASA), and the University Honors Program will each select a recipient (for a total of 10 recipients) to receive a $1500 scholarship for 2009-2010.
William M. Thorkildsen Scholarship
The scholarship criteria are:
- Undergraduate in education, nursing, science, math, engineering, agricultural and vocational fields
- Colorado high school graduate, good character, responsible student
- Standards shall take into account financial resources available to the student and parents
Specific purpose shall be limited to provide tuition, fees, books and supplies, medical services, or room and board; but no costs for transportation. Six $1600 scholarships awarded for 2009-2010.
Tillotson Colorado Scholars Award
The scholarship was established by former Wheat Ridge resident Inez G. Tillotson. A 1936 alumna with a Bachelor of Science in General Home Economics, she taught high school in Gypsum, Colorado, and in Nebraska. During the last 25 years of her career, she worked for the Bureau of Land Reclamation in Denver. The purpose of the fund is to assist Colorado State University freshmen. Awards are made to students who meet the following criteria: high school academic achievement which includes college entrance examination and grade point average, extracurricular activities and community service, and demonstrated financial need.

Charles L. Turner Memorial Scholarship
The scholarship criteria are:
- Enrolled in an undergraduate degree program
- Any class, any major
- Potential to achieve outstanding academic performance

L. B. Waters Memorial Scholarship
The scholarship criteria are:
- An undergraduate enrolled in any class and any major
- Potential to achieve outstanding academic performance

Letha and Bruce Whitmore Memorial Scholarship
The scholarship was established by friends and family of Bruce G. Whitmore because of his dedication and devotion to his work, his love of young people, and loyalty to his alma mater. Its purpose is to assist a Colorado State University sophomore, junior, or senior who was a former member of a 4-H Club in Kiowa County, Colorado. Recipients must be Colorado residents. Scholastic record, leadership ability, and evidence of good citizenship are also considered. Financial need is desirable, but not mandatory.
Mr. Whitmore graduated from Colorado State University in 1945 with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Husbandry. He earned a Master of Science at Colorado State University in 1961. He served as a federal extension agent in Kiowa County for 22 1/2 years. His life was spent in devotion to youth activities. He established the 4-H Council in Kiowa County and remained active in it until his death in 1970. One $450 scholarship awarded for 2009-2010.
Laurie Wile Memorial Scholarship
The scholarship was established in memory of Laura Danielle Wile. Laurie battled osteosarcoma for five years and was an inspiration to all who knew her. She attended Colorado State University between chemotherapy treatments and stated that her time on campus was one of her most fulfilling life experiences. The purpose of the fund is to provide scholarship assistance to students like Laurie and their immediate family members who have financial need as a result of medical expenses associated with fighting cancer. The scholarship criteria include:
- A student who has or has had any type of cancer, or;
- A student who is a parent or sibling who watched a child or sibling struggle with cancer;
- Demonstrate financial need; and
- Any undergraduate class, any major.
Margery Monfort Wilson Scholarship
The scholarship was established by Margery Monfort Wilson. Mrs. Wilson, who died in April 1988, was a strong Colorado State supporter. She graduated from Colorado State University in 1942 with a degree in Home Economics and was an active member of the Colorado State Alumni Association. The purpose of the scholarship is to assist students who demonstrate financial need. Seventy-eight (78) $1000 scholarships awarded for 2009-2010.
Working Woman's Fair, Inc. Scholarship
The scholarship criteria are:
- Student in any field & year of study; prefer woman from CO
- Must be currently employed or want to be part of workforce
- Prefer someone who has had a break in education
- Basis: need; 9+ credit hours; wide range of community/campus activities
One $700 scholarship awarded for 2009-2010.
Wyoming CSU Alumni Scholarship
The scholarship was established by alumni from the state of Wyoming. Its purpose is to assist Colorado State University undergraduates from Wyoming who have financial need, with consideration of merit. One $780 scholarship awarded for 2009-2010.
