Grants at Colorado State University

Grants are financial aid that does not have to be repaid. The grant amount is based on financial need, cost of attendance, and enrollment status.

As Colorado’s only Land Grant University, we are proud to announce the CSU Land Grant Award for Colorado residents. We are committed to helping students pursue higher education by providing resources to make CSU an affordable reality. CSU first-time freshmen with Federal Pell Grant eligibility will receive a combination of grants, which may include the CSU Land Grant Award, to cover at least the student’s share of base tuition and general fees (does not include supplemental tuition or course fees). Land Grant recipients should be aware that the total financial aid received from all sources (including grants, work-study, loans, and all scholarships) cannot exceed the cost of attendance or the calculated need as determined by the FAFSA.
