Verification

When you signed your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) you certified you understood that the Secretary of Education has the authority to verify information reported on the application. The Secretary exercises this right through the schools in a process called verification. By signing your FAFSA using your FSA ID, you agreed to provide information that would verify the accuracy of your application. This could include but may not be limited to income tax information, household size and asset information.

Your application for financial aid will not be complete until all items requested by Colorado State University are received and reviewed.  We must receive your verification documents by:

  • November 15 for fall semester
  • April 15 for spring semester
